When my son wakes up in the morning, the first thing he yells from his room (right down the hall from ours) is "Mommy! You there Mommy?" For some this might be annoying, for me it's sweet as pie. He will come into our room and snuggle for about 30 minutes, and I just relish this short, but blissful time...because as you all know, it's not always bliss.
Motherhood is not easy, in fact it is much harder then I ever thought possible. It makes me cherish my mom for being so patient, sweet, and good to my brother and myself. I keep telling myself "patience, patience, patience". It's so easy to get frustrated, but I have to think we are so lucky to have him, that he's in good health and that it really could be worse.
So, here is to all of the trazillion diaper changes, spit-up, whining and crying and fits, and the sweet as pie moments...I wish you and yours a very Happy Mother's Day!
