Love Bug

Bugs aren't just for boys...in fact, the lady bug might be the cutest one I know!  Kelly from WH Hostess and the Party Dress put together the most darling Lady Bug soiree you have ever seen. Instead of the traditional black and white, she threw in some green which makes for such a cheerful color palette. I am  head over heels for her pots with grass as part of the sweets table, and the green and white stripe tablecloth is perfection.

And I actually got to join in the fun too...I supplied the Mel-Belles hair bows, in the Lady Bug theme as the party favors. What little girl wouldn't love bubbles and bows?

Valentine's Day is only 2 weeks away! I remember growing up Valentine's day was always one of my favorite holidays. I loved making the valentine's card box in school, I am pretty sure I loved the pink and red color combination (because I still do) and my mom always gave us special goodies on that day. One item being my first Cabbage Patch Kid doll, named Valerie (in honor of Valentine's Day!).

Christmas doesn't have to be red and green...

Thanks to my mom coming to visit for a week, I actually was able to get all my Christmas decorations up, and even outside lights done before Thanksgiving! Such a relief! Now I dedicate some time to shopping for gifts and getting my Christmas cards done, yay! I have also been focusing on making new Mel-belles products in time for the Holidays!

Take the school uniform from boring to bright!

I am so excited to launch the new addition to my Mel-Belles hair bow line. We now have a new category called Bookworm-Belles! A line of coordinating stripes and solids to go back to your traditional school uniforms. I have three different bold stripes in Red, Yellow and Green that will go perfectly back to any Navy and multi plaid jumpers or skirts. If solids are your thing, I also have solid navy, but trimmed in the striped ribbon to add interest. My twin nieces are in Kindergarten and it's their first year wearing a uniform. They were GREAT models, don't you think?

My latest venture...

O.K., so I am a little crafty...I am not afraid to admit it! I love Hobby Lobby, and I have quite a collection of glue guns. This craft obsession has now turned into a business venture. Let me introduce to you Mel-Belles!


Mel-Belles is A collection of hand-made hair bows for babies and girls. This line was inspired by my 6 gorgeous nieces, and a void of unique ribbon bows in stores. This line has been nothing but fun for me and I hope to share my craftiness with the world in the form of darling hair bows.
