My friend Annie informed me that Gap was selling them this season. I went in there on Sunday and I was so thrilled at not only the price ($69, ladies!) but they had some decent washes. I think for an item like this, if you are slightly unsure, you can't argue with a $69 price tag. Here are 2 of their washes that I think are pretty good...
classic wash
faded dark wash
Some of you may be blessed with skinny hips and thighs. Me, not so much. I like a longer top with my legging jeans. You know my love of cardigans...
linen cardi, perfect for right now, by Patterson J Kincaid
gorgeous by 12th St. by Cynthia Vincent, also comes in IVORY (yes, please!)
great lightweight cardi by Splendid
And right now there are still a lot of longer tanks or drapey tees to choose from...
love the color, love the pockets. By Patterson J Kincaid
still loving florals...by Ella Moss
very cute belted with some gold jewelry by Eight Sixty
and as for shoes? If I didn't have a toddler, I would be sporting these. It's all about the clog this season!
but let's be realistic, I will probably be doing something more like this...
I think this is a fab boot for the price, $150 by Nine West
so, what is the verdict? Do you still love the "jegging"?
I love it when you do posts on entire outfits! This is a perfect, perfect post in my humble opinion. I have 3 pairs of jeggings from Paige that I just LOVE. At first, I thought I was too old to wear them, but it's all about the proportions on top & shoes, and you've put together some excellent suggestions!!
ReplyDeleteLoving the green top and 12th St cardi A LOT but am not convinced on the 'jegging'. While I may get around in somewhat stretchy jeans I am still convinced they are merely 'skinny jeans' and not 'jeggings!' ;)
ReplyDeletelived in them last year and will again!!!! Love the look of the gap ones and those boots are a GREAT find, thanks Mel!!!!

Although I'm not sure if they'd be considered a jean legging, my favorite skinny jeans are JCrew's toothpick with tons of stretch from last fall. Of all the jeans I've ever owned, they've been the most comfortable and for a super skinny jean, they were super flattering. They recently got a hole though, so I'll be looking to replace them very soon! I'll definitely have to check out GAP!
ReplyDeleteoh you know i love a good jegging, cant wait to squeeze back into them this fall. tracy anderson here i come!
ReplyDeletepuh-lease woman!! i am soooo excited to wear anything but BLACK LEGGINGS. this post gets me so excited-fingers crossed by the time it's cool enough to wear them, my tush will fit into them!
ReplyDeleteI really want to try some but am scared! I have been buying some new black and grey ones for the fall so I think I just need stop being a chicken and try some on!
ReplyDeleteI am gonna have to check out the gap! I tried the Jeggings at Express, where I buy almost everything, but they just seemed so poorly made and cheap! Thanks for the tip - And I LOVE those clogs, too cute!
ReplyDeleteLove the jeggings! JBRAND are my favorite but I actually got a cute inexpensive pair by free people. and I also have a super cute psir by citizens of humanity that are the best dark wash.
ReplyDeleteYes, I am excited they are in maternity fashion too! I just ordered a pair from Top Shop Maternity- I cannot wait for them to arrive! I am certain I will be living in them until I deliver!
ReplyDeleteI have been curious about jean jeggings for a while, but haven't try on one. Thanks for the recommendations. Maybe now I've a reason to check them out.
ReplyDeleteI am hosting a giveaway of a $50 gift card to the Cheesecake Factory. Hope you will enter for a chance to win.
