For those of you who have reading this blog for the past 2 years, you know that I am on the eternal search for the perfect skin care line. I have tried a lot of different things in the past few years, and the one product line that I have been loving for my morning routine is Aveeno's Positively Radiant.
I first saw the Positively Radiant moisturizer on Cupcakes and Cashmere's blog. I figured if it works for Emily, I should give it a shot. I absolutely love it. It has SPF 30, it also has light diffusers to even out skin tone. I love the smell (very light and clean) and it is not too heavy or greasy. Last year it won a bunch of beauty awards, and I know why. It's a bargain (at around $13) and it definitely has worked for me.
After trying that product, I decided I should try their Skin Brightening Daily Scrub. It's a super light exfoliator that uses tiny microbeads. So, you can use it daily and it isn't rough on your skin. I keep it in the shower and use it every other day.
I have always been a Cetaphil girl, but I wanted to try something new. I have been using their Clear Complexion foaming cleanser. I use it in the morning and it's a great way to get my skin ready for the day. It smells amazing and I love the foam, I feel like it gets my skin really clean without drying it out. It also helps clear those pesky little blemishes that we sometimes get.
Since I have been saving so much money on my daily skin care, I feel like I can really invest in a good nighttime moisturizer and eye cream. Click here to read a past post about my favorite eye creams.
Have you tried Aveeno products? Do you love them too?

The short of it...
Yesterday I was at Forever 21, hunting for some sundresses...why I am shopping for Spring, I have no clue, it's like 30 degrees here...
One thing I decided I need is a little printed floral skirt. I picture wearing it with a striped top, some wedge sandals and maybe even my new navy blazer. After trying them all on, I was overwhelmed with frustration.
If you are over 15 and don't have sticks for legs you really should not be wearing something this short...

I wanted "shorter" just not so short that you barely cover your hoo-ha short, you know?
truly adorable, just not meant for me I guess...so the search continues!!!

Bringing back the friendship bracelet...
As a 12 year old, I was obsessed with friendship bracelets. Not so much the trading of them, but just making them. All of the beautiful colors and patterns you could make were absolute eye candy.
I am so glad to see them coming back again. Not only are they inexpensive, but they are just so pretty. I found the vendor The Cat Paradox on Etsy, her designs are by far my favorite...

I think I will stack them with some leather wrap bracelets...

Monday Musings...
Here are just a few wants, loves, lusts, you name it. Let's start off with something spectacular, like these 2...
Ryan Reynolds used to be my #1, but I think Mr.Cooper is quickly closing in. I wouldn't mind being seated at their table. How about you?

I love this idea of a glamorous chalkboard in a kitchen or child's room.
I have been admiring these Foutas on Basic French forever. They come in beautiful colors and are a very multi functional linen. You can use them as a lightweight shawl, a picnic blanket or even a table runner. $40 on basicfrenchonline.com
Emersonmade is quickly becoming a favorite online shop. She started making fabric flowers and now has an entire ready to wear line. This seersucker blouse would be a fabulous basic for summer back to white jeans and skirts. $138

For the love of Lee...Industries that is...
I was out shopping today and I stopped into one of my favorite Home Decor stores here in Kansas City. If you are ever in KC, you must visit Nell Hills, it's a gorgeous one-stop-shop for your entire home. And believe it or not, the prices are reasonable! I fell in love with this chair. Love the colors, love the floral bird print.
So, ironically I get my new Veranda mag in the mail today, and there is a big ad for Lee Industries and this chair is in the ad!
I have always admired Lee Industries items in magazines. There is something about their sleek lines, and use of color and pattern that always catches my eye. I also have to give them credit, everything is 100% made in the USA and they are completely earth friendly in manufacturing and the products they use to make their furniture.
I feel like this is furniture you would never tire of and it would be worth every penny that you would invest in it. Don't you think?

Spring Greetings
I don't know about all of you, but I am just ready for April to get here. Usually by April the snow is gone, the grass turns green and we are in full spring mode. Also, April is the month of Easter one of my all time favorite holidays!
This year, I actually decided to send Easter cards. We were so crazy over Christmas, and the added expense of Christmas cards didn't fit into the budget. So, I thought it would be nice to send greetings to family and friends at a time when they wouldn't normally get a picture card.

Tiny Prints has the most adorable selection to choose from. Whether you want to send an Easter greeting, or an invite for an Easter brunch, they have so many options...
and while I was browsing, I just noticed they have personalized Mother's Day Cards!!! Best part? They are only $3.99 a card and there is an option to include a Gift Card to popular retailers. These are WAY better than any card you could get at Target or Hallmark...
