Cheap and Chic (all under $25!)

I feel like I have been living at Target lately. Maybe it's the fact that we have a new baby and there always seems to be something we are out of . Wipes, gas drops, diapers...you name it! And as you know, it's impossible to get through Target without picking up something that wasn't on your list.

We have had a lot of Thank You notes to write, with the arrival of our baby girl. I found these adorable cards by Mara Mi at Target. They are $5.99 for a pack of 10 or $10.99 for a set of 50!!! They have vibrant patterns and colors and the paper quality is actually decent.

You probably have heard about or seen Emi-Jay hair ties. They are not cheap, they run about $12.99 for a pack of 5. I happened to find a knock-off at Target for $2.50 for a pack of 3! They were in a weird spot at our Target, they were on an end-cap in the pharmacy department. I picked up 2 sets and when I went back they were sold out! I am hoping they re-stock soon, because now I am obsessed with these hair ties. They don't leave marks in your hair and they also double as a bracelet :)

Last year I bought a Sonia Kashuk Kabuki brush for my bronzer and it is fantastic. I discovered her 7 brush set recently and they are so inexpensive. The entire "Star Studded" Brush set is $24.99 and this even includes a cute bag to hold all the brushes. What a steal!

Normally I am a bit picky about shampoo and conditioner. I typically purchase something from my salon. In a desperate need of a new conditioner, I stumbled across John Frieda's new Awakening line. The one I purchased is called Purify + Nurish which is designed for an oily scalp with dry hair. It's my exact combination! The Shampoo and Conditioner smells delicious and it gives my hair just enough hydration without weighing it down. It's extremely well priced at $5.99 a bottle. It also comes in Hydrate + Nourish for a dry scalp and breakage prone hair.

  1. You are too funny. We should meet at Target and have a coffee - sometimes I make Henry go just so I can get a coffee treat! Target is easier to do with than Starbucks.

  2. I just bought the first box of Mara Mi stationary that you pictured! Mara Mi cocktail napkins and guest towels are really cute, too. I have the same type of hair as you, so that shampoo is now on my list. I like to change up my shampoo routine every now and again.

  3. I just did a post about the Emi Jay ties the other day...I LOVE them!

My sister and I have this silly saying and we are actually quoting Jersey Shore when Vinny says GTL (gym, tan, laundry) she will ask what I am doing today and of course I always answer GTL. gym, target, laundry...

    have a great weekend
