This vs That

We are in the midst of planning out our son's big boy room. Yes, he's over 3 and still in his crib...but you know what? He still naps and I am taking advantage of this as long as I can! I know once he gets in the big bed, he will crawl right out of it.

I digress. So, we are getting together the room decor which I am trying to keep as non-juvenile as possible. I just want a room that doesn't scream "truck" or "dinosaurs", but yet still make it fun for him. I probably won't share too much until the finished product, but I am having a pillow dilemma. What I really want is this...

The coveted letter pillow by Jonathan Adler. I love how bold and graphic they are, but $110 for one pillow isn't really in the budget.

So, I came across these bamboo felt pillows on Etsy by Studio Design Lab and I kind of love them. They start at $39 for a 12x16 and go up to $54 for a 20x20. Also, you can custom match the colors according to your room decor. Pretty adorable, right?

I am thinking these are a much more budget friendly purchase and are equally as cute. What do you think?

  1. love it! No worries about the crib! I just read the number one mistake parents make are rushing kids into a big boy bed before they are ready! I say keep him in there till he's 4 :) xo

  2. I almost hate to say this, but as much as I love Jonathan I really think I like the etsy pillows better, esp for a child's room

  4. Those are so cute!! I don't blame you about keeping your son in his crib. I have a 19 month old boy and am dreading the big boy room. Although, I am excited about redecorating when the time comes! Can't wait to see the finished product!
