Closet Confidential: A pop of Orange
I don't think I ever wrote about my girls weekend in Florida. Probably because we had rain for 4 straight days and never really left the house! Thank goodness for good friends, movies, snacks, wine and the Kardashian wedding. Despite the weather, we really just had the best time being lazy, having girl talk and making some delicious meals at home.
Our one trip out was to go to the Florida Mall. When it rains in Orlando, what do tourists do? Why shop, of course! We hit up Zara and H&M and struck out at both places. I am yet to find something good at Zara...I will still give them a shot though. So, our last stop was Forever 21. I have never seen such a huge and well organized store, it was much better than other F21's I had been to.
When I thought I was going to walk out empty handed I spotted this orangey/red blazer. I almost passed on it, but my friend talked me into keeping it and I am so glad I did! I looked everywhere online so I could share the link with you all, but couldn't find it. It was $27.80 and is knit with a tortoise button. I feel like this will definitely be a staple in my wardrobe this fall!

Frugal Friday
Typically I shy away from cheapie shoes, only because they usually don't hold up well and can be uncomfortable. But, when I tried these booties on at Forever 21 I knew I had to have them. They are "suedette", but they actually feel really nice and they do not look like some fake suede shoes can. They have a wearable short heel and the toe comes to a comfortable point. I also love the big exposed gold zipper.
I have been wearing these with everything from my rolled boyfriend jeans to leggings. I have a feeling these will be my go-to all season long! They are only $27.80 and come in this great taupe color. I am wishing they also came in black!

Bag it
Some people are shoe-aholics, I personally am addicted to bags. Whether you gain or lose 5 pounds, a handbag will always fit; and I LOVE that! Handbags, if bought wisely will also never go out of style. Here is my eternal "wish list"...
A Monogrammed Goyard Tote
Gucci Boston Bag
Chloe Marcie Bag
And when I get a bit older, I think a classic Chanel would be a wonderful investment
what bag are you coveting these days?

My weekend
I turned the big 34 over the weekend. Oh yes, one year closer to 35, it's kind of hard to believe. I am not sweating it too much, so far my 30's have been fantastic. It seems like each year brings something new and exciting.
This year we celebrated with friends and family at a quaint french restaurant and then enjoyed drinks after with more friends. My friend Rachel surprised me with the most fabulous cake in the shape of a Chanel bag that she HANDMADE! This takes "have your cake and eat it too" to a whole new level.

I am incredibly lucky to have made such amazing friends since moving to Kansas City 4 years ago. These girls are the best! Thanks for helping me celebrate ladies!
Got these fabulous Kendra Scott earrings that I have been eyeing for years. LOVE them.
On Sunday I got to photograph my twin nieces. They are precious and such easy subjects to shoot.
As a birthday treat to myself I purchased a ticket to Florida for a girls trip...let the fun begin ladies!
I will be back next week, hopefully with a tan and some fun photos from our trip.
